Rapid Reading Rec: ‘Stories of Your Life and Others’ by Ted Chiang

Did you know May was National Short Story Month? I honestly had no idea, but I’m a fan of a quick read. Especially as a palette cleanser between long series or long books. I may create a whole list of favorite short stories and expand on this post, but for now, I’ll leave you with this incredible rec: Stories of Your Life and Others by Ted Chiang is one of my all-time favorite short story compilations. While it’s mostly sci-fi and speculative fiction, it also straddles fantasy at points. And if you’ve ever seen the movie Arrival (SO GOOD!), it’s based on the title story in this book. If you’ve already read it, which short story is your favorite?
