Book Recs: Winter Reads our Bookish Community Loves

Last week I asked the community to share some of their favorite winter reads they seem to reach for each year. For a long time I would re-read all of Harry Potter, LOTR, and The Chronicles of Narnia each winter. But with so many new books coming out that I want to read, and keeping up with the latest Booktok recommendations, I haven’t done a ton of rereads in the past few years. So I was curious, what are the cozy reads you reach for during the winter months? Some of the answers I got back weren’t exactly “cozy”, but hey, I’m being true to the community and sharing your faves. Here’s what you all had to say:

@Lauras.pages

Book: Let it Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson, Lauren Myracle

How come: Check out Laura’s TikTok above as she shares why she loves this cozy winter collection of three holiday romances.

Alexander Davidson

Book: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis

How come? “It’s got perfect winter vibes, and Santa is in it!”

@pixie.duck

Book(s): The Night Circus + The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern

Meg Cormier

How come? “I don’t know why? It’s just been something I’ve always done.”

Thanks to everyone who answered! If you’ve got one to add to the list, drop a comment. :) And happy winter reading!
