The LOTR Creators You Should be Following on TikTok, or ‘Tolkientok’

Attention, The Lord of the Rings fans! Or if you’re just getting into Tolkien (maybe you joined our LOTR Buddy Read). Have you ever found yourself endlessly scrolling through TikTok, hoping to stumble upon more content inspired by your favorite Middle-earth tales? Or you want to learn more lore? I’ve got you. Compiled below is a list of some of my favorite Lord of the Rings creators on TikTok that you should definitely be following. From cosplayers to artists to Elvish experts, these Booktok and Booktok-adjacent creators help bring the magic of J.R.R. Tolkien's world to life in unique and creative ways. Ready to dive into Middle-earth TikTok? Or Tolkientok as we like to call it?

Now, there are some people, like myself, who do create LOTR content on a somewhat regular basis, but the Creators I’ve mentioned below, post almost exclusively about Tolkien, LOTR, and Middle-earth.

This list can’t really begin without including the man who literally blew up overnight dishing out obscure LOTR facts. He’s probably come across your FYP at some point. Yep, you guessed it, it’s:

Don Marshall aka ‘Obscure LOTR Facts’ guy

Hobbiton Movie Set

Yes, Hobbiton has its own TikTok now, and I love it so much. They’re doing their job well, because I immediately want to book a ticket to New Zealand to visit.

Anna @Myelessar

Mostly Aragorn edits set to Hozier. I’m obsessed.

@myelessar he’s so tender always, even when literally rejecting somebody.. THE comfort character #lordoftherings #aragorn #aragornedit #middleearth ♬ original sound - anna 🏹

@knewbettadobetta

Literally the most amazing Tolkien Scholar. He knows SO MUCH lore and even gives classes on The Silmarillion.

@lauren.does.cosplay

She has the most impressive collection of The Hobbit, and her Galadriel cosplays are the most epic.

@hanabobb

Hana’s bookbinding account. While it’s not just Tolkien works, she does post some absolutely GORGEOUS custom binds from Tolkien.

@hanabobb First step: pain and disrespect These are my favorite cover versions so it was hard to tear them up but I love coming up with new covers and designs! I made these books using faux green leather from Hollanders that has since unfortunately been discontinued, marbled endpapers, watered down gold acrylic for the edges, and gold foil HTV for the design. I am still a baby bookbinder so I haven’t moved on to heat stamps just yet! #lotr #lordoftherings #bookbinding #bookbinder #specialedition #bookstagram #bookbindersoftiktok #fotr #books #prettybooks #handmade #hana_bob #hanabobb ♬ Would That I (True that I saw her hair like the branch of a tree) - Hozier

@mylamalinalda

When someone says they’re a ‘collector’ and they mean it, Myla is the blueprint. She has the most incredible Tolkien collection. Plus, she made this incredible deck of LOTR affirmations and I’m obsessed.

@anexwilson aka the ‘welcome to the 'Fantasy Annex’ guy

One of those super genuine souls who just loves to talk LOTR and fantasy books.

@AndieINC

Andie hosts the “Tolkien with Friends” podcast and always has great commentary.

@andieinc This is a movie fact only. Luckily there is no cave troll on the book 😅 #lordoftherings #lotrtok #lotr ♬ Khazad-dûm - Howard Shore

@Silmaremily

Always thoughtful commentary on Tolkien, and also shares my love for Halbrand.

@onthisdayinmiddleearth

Fun Middle-earth events + facts for each day of the year.

@hestonhorwin

The most hilarious LOTR skits (but he’s in his House of the Dragon era right now…'do you wish to train?"‘)
